A waterproof cast is a lightweight, strong, durable cast that is allowed to get wet. This allows for showering and total immersion in water.

Waterproof casts have the advantage of:

• You can get it wet. That means underwater wet.

• No need to plastic bag it for showering.

• They don’t smell like non waterproof casts 

Our practice also applies EXOS fracture braces for wrist and hand injuries. These are customised, thermo-formable, waterproof ,light weight and removable alternative to casting. Not all fractures are suitable for this system.
