Diane is an APA Sports Titled Physiotherapist and is one of the practice principals at Eastside Physiotherapy. Diane has over 30 years experience in all aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation.


Diane is the physiotherapist for Randwick Rugby Union Football Club, a position she has held for many years. She is the only female to be awarded Life Membership of Randwick Rugby Union Football Club.

He has extensive experience  and interest in managing all sports injuries including but not limited to patellofemoral pain, shoulder instability and post operative rehabilitation including ACL reconstruction, Hip and knee arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, acromioplasty / sub acromial decompression and shoulder stabilisation.

Greer completed an undergraduate bachelor degree in Health Sciences (Musculo-skeletal, Human Movement) at Sydney University and then went on to attain a Master of Physiotherapy.

Greer has worked in the public sector at Prince of Wales Hospital and also for the NHS in the United Kingdom gaining expertise in orthopaedic rehabilitation and oncological services. She has also has experience in delivering hydrotherapy in orthopaedic rehabilitation, in particular with joint replacement surgery.

Greer worked within the Randwick Rugby Physiotherapy Team as lead physiotherapist with Randwick Colts between 2014-16 and then again in 2019-current as an integral part of the Randwick Rugby physiotherapy team, responsible for pre game preparation and acute sports injury management.

Brendan is an Irish trained physiotherapist who qualified from Univerity College Dublin in 2020 with a first class honours degree.

 

His professional journey began at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, which is the National Trauma Centre. During this time, Brendan honed his skills in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, specialising in post-operative care for major knee, shoulder, and spinal surgeries. He also gained extensive experience in managing various fractures and soft tissue injuries.

 

In addition to this Brendan worked with a local sports injury clinic, where he provided care for Gaelic football, soccer, and rugby teams. This exposure further enhanced his understanding of sports-related injuries and rehabilitation strategies.

 Brendan is part of the physiotherapy team covering Randwick Rugby Union .

Beyond his clinical practice, Brendan embraces an active lifestyle in Sydney, where he enjoys activities like parkrunning and occasional sea swimming. His personal experience with an ACL injury while playing Gaelic football has given him unique insight into the challenges of recovery, allowing him to empathise with his patients' journeys.

Fiona graduated from Cumberland College Of Health Sciences in Occupational Therapy in 1989. She has had experience in working in a variety of hand therapy clinics across Sydney, as well as in the USA. Fiona joined Eastside in 1996.

Samantha Marwedel is a highly experienced

Hand Therapist.

She commenced work at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 1990 and became a Senior Therapist in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics in 1994, moving into the Hand Therapy Unit in 1996 till 2004.

In 2004, Samantha worked as a Hand Therapist at Neutral Bay Physiotherapy and she was involved in a research project with the Rehabilitation Studies Unit, University of Sydney in 2005.

Samantha is an Associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

She joined the practice at Eastside Physiotherapy in 2006 as a part time Hand Therapist treating a variety of conditions and injuries including, hand and wrist fractures, tendon injuries, post surgery and arthritic conditions.

Hand Therapy specialist skills involve wound care, scar management, oedema management, custom made thermoplastic splinting, neoprene splinting, casting, and hand exercise programmes.
